- University of British Columbia (Vancouver, British Columbia)
- University Health Network (Toronto, Ontario)
- Queen’s University (Kingston, Ontario)
Platform Overview
The Clinical Platform is responsible for the development of study protocols and for ensuring the highest standards of safety for all study participants. This includes defining appropriate study populations, selecting suitable study designs, and determining the clinical assessments required for each study. From the earliest stages of design through to study implementation, the platform plays a central role in ensuring that all research is both scientifically rigorous and ethically sound. The Clinical team also ensures that studies are conducted in accordance with established protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) as defined by the International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, and all relevant local regulations.
The platform also oversees the consistent implementation of procedures across study sites to ensure high-quality, reliable, and comparable data collection. This includes ongoing monitoring of study conduct, as well as close coordination with research teams to maintain protocol adherence and participant safety throughout the duration of each study.
The Clinical Platform uses a comprehensive range of structured clinical interviews and self-report measures to collect clinical outcome data. These tools capture multiple dimensions of mental health and functioning, including mood, anxiety, circadian rhythms, personality, life experiences, cognition, and functional outcomes, along with other study-specific domains as required.
